So how have those New Year resolutions been going? Here at Sunny HQ, we've had a healthy start to 2012 designing a couple of cheeky public health campaigns for the NHS. Our award-winning and beloved Andy Mann is back... this time he's helping men stop smoking! We're also helping give advice on safer drinking in later life.
It's been an exciting start on the new business front too. A big hello to our new clients who've recently joined our merry band of Sunny Thinkers. There will be more on all that soon but just as a little taster, here's how we're adding a bit of spice to the marketing of Manzil, a leading Asian restaurant and banqueting hall in Manchester. All part of our healthy eating plan you'll understand!
Seasons greetings everyone. We're spreading the festive joy again this year by making another donation to our chosen charity, Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
We even got in the festive spirit and joined over 2,000 others running the Santa Charity Dash at Heaton Park. A massive thanks to everyone who's given us their support and helped us raise over £700 so far in our ongoing campaign. You can still help us by making a donation or buying our children's charity book for the Hospital.
Thanks to all our clients, suppliers and creative partners for helping make 2011 another fantastic year...Merry Christmas and here's to a Sunny Thinking 2012!
http://www.rmchcharity.org.ukIn recognition of World Aids Day, we thought it was appropriate to tell you about a couple of recent projects we've designed for the NHS.
Read about the 'HIV and Sexual Health in Pregnancy' materials Sunny Thinking produced for Manchester Maternity Hospitals here and come back soon to see the 'Pass it On' training resources we've designed to support the delivery of local training initiatives on blood-borne virus prevention in drug services across Manchester.
World Aids Day is an international day to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS. It's pretty damn important when you consider there's now more people living in this country with HIV than ever (more than 90,000) and globally an estimated 33.3 million people have HIV. So we're proud to be supporting NAT (National Aids Trust) with a donation to help their ongoing campaign to encourage the UK public to ACT AWARE of HIV and AIDS. Why not join us?
http://www.worldaidsday.orgWoohoo...Woohoo again...it's now official...Sunny Thinking has scooped the prize of 'Best Publication' at the How Do Public Services Communications Awards for the 'A Mann's Guide to STIs' we designed and illustrated for Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust. Another one for the trophy cabinet!
Congratulations to everyone at the Trust and to our fellow award-winners. Great to hear about so much fantastic work being produced in the public sector during the current economic climate. Really interesting to hear from speakers Sally Sykes, Alicia Custis, Tom Stannard, Andy Green, Paul Willis and Andy Wright during the days conference too. Some insightful 'sunny thinkers' if ever there was some.
