Sale FC Rugby Club is rich in history and as well as celebrating over 150 years of rugby, 2012 has been a record breaking season for the club. Rugby and beer are a happy marriage so we thought for a club of this stature with such an exciting future, their very own tipple made perfect sense. We've been doing our bit by sponsoring the Scorpions mini and junior section at the club and now we felt it was time to play with the big boys too!
We approached the club about launching their very own celebratory brew and hey presto, thanks to our buddies at Dunham Massey Brewing Company we've now launched 1861. What at first was just an idea soon turned in to a cheeky sampling session at the brewery to decide on the new champion ale. Within weeks, and thanks to pulling in favours from old rugby playing chums and label printers, we'd named the limited edition brew, branded up the bottles and launched them in time for the clubs season finale. As for drinking responsibly...a percentage of the sales are going to the Wooden Spoon Charity!

Sale FC Rugby Club is steeped in history and their150th celebrations in 2011 provide the perfect opportunity to not only reminisce, but also start a new chapter by igniting the ambitions of a club that still plays an integral part in the local and national rugby community.
To say we're passionate about rugby is an understatement! Already sponsoring the Scorpions mini rugby section at Sale, we obviously jumped at the chance to redesign their website and implement an email marketing strategy for the club. The end result is a fully content managed site and customised email solution that the club will be able to play with themselves!
